Acorn Pre-School & the Mighty Oaks Out of School Club
About Us  

We are a before, lunch and after school club, located in the new Acorn Pre-School building on the site of Shefford Lower School.

Mighty Oaks is an associated activity of Acorn Pre-School, the activities of which are overseen by an elected management committee who are responsible for ensuring the implementation of our policies and procedures. If you would like to be involved in any aspect of the committee's work please let us know. We value volunteers.

Our aim is to provide a safe, relaxing, healthy and social environment for children aged 2 years 9 months to 9 years. we will safely escort your child from our Breakfast Club to school at 9am and collect your child from their classroom, escorting them to after school club at 3.20pm.



Breakfast Club

Monday - Friday 8.00 - 9.00am

Providing your child with the most important meal of the day, comprising of cereal, fruit, toast and drinks of milk or water. we will organise quiet activities to prepare children for the day ahead. Last serving of breakfast is at 8.30am, children are still welcome at the breakfast club if they have already eaten breakfast at home. At the end of the club we will safely escort your child to school.


Lunch Club (Only available to Acorn Pre-school children)

Monday - Friday - Lunch club is only available if your child is staying for both a morning and afternoon session.

Your child should bring their own packed lunch and we will provide them with a drink of milk or water.


After School Club

Monday - Friday either, 3.15 - 5.00pm or 3.15 - 6.00pm

Whether the children choose to play board games indoors or take part in organised games outside, the club is full of fun and games! The children will have the opportunity to choose the activity they wish to participate in each week

Although these are our weekly themes, there will always be a wide variety of activities available. Activities will be adjusted according to the individual child's age and stage of development. Children will always have access to the outdoor area, library and computers.

 
Staff

Your first point of contact will probably be through our administrator who handles admissions , fees and general finances.

The Mighty Oaks Club supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day running of the Club.  The team are dedicated and enthusiastic and can always be relied on to give each child the time, care and attention they need.


 Places are limited in these clubs and so book early!
