Wrap Around Care Assistant

We are looking for a energetic individual support, engage and look after children in the Wraparound Care Club.

We are a charity term time only Pre-School and wrap around care setting, open from 7:30am to 6pm. We accept 2, 3 and 4 year old funding as well as 30 hour funding.  Wrap around care is offered for children aged 2 to 12. 

Hours:  Term time only  -  Monday to Friday 3pm to 6.15pm. With the possibility of additional hours.

Duties will include: 

  • Work in partnership with the Wrap Around Care Supervisor / Management Team to implement broad, balanced and appropriate activities for children of all ages. Participate and lead activities where needed.
  • Prepare and serve healthy and well balanced meals/snacks for the children attending, taking care to meet each child’s dietary requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring the safe arrival of children at the club and the safe delivery to carers at the end of the day.
  • Keeping children safe and minimising risks in the wrap around care environment, including daily risk assessment checks.
  • Promote equal opportunities for children, families and staff and actively address inequalities in the setting.
  • Be committed to the safeguarding of all children in the setting, to always follow our policies and procedures and to role model good practises to ensure the safety of all children, families and staff.
  • Work requires bending, kneeling and crouching for periods of time and may also involve lifting or holding children during activities, and changing nappies/toileting duties.
  • Work with the other staff ensure the area is clean and tidy ready for the next session, washing up is done, general mopping and cleaning where appropriate.
  • Administer First Aid as appropriate. Willingness to undertake specific training including First Aid.

  • To comply with safeguarding policies, procedures and code of conduct.
  • To demonstrate a personal commitment to safeguarding and student / colleague wellbeing
  • To ensure that any safeguarding concerns or incidents are reported appropriately in line with policy
  • To engage in safeguarding training when required.
